The recommended daytime cruise attire for a Seabourn cruise is casual attire, including Bermuda style or walking shorts (which are welcome in the Restaurant, The Colonnade and Veranda Café during breakfast and lunch). Swimsuits, brief shorts, cover-ups and exercise attire should be reserved for poolside, on deck or in the spa and fitness center.
Evenings onboard Seabourn are glamorous. On each day of your cruise they will give you a program, in which the dress advisory is mentioned. The evening dress code for The Restaurant goes into effect after 6:00 pm, and it will be specified as one of the following:
♦ Black Tie Optional: Tuxedo (alternatively a dark suit) for men, evening gown or other formal attire for women. On these evenings, their alternative dining venues (Restaurant 2, The Colonnade and Patio Grill) will welcome guests in elegant casual attire as described below. Note: Black Tie Optional evenings generally occur one night during a one-week cruise and two to three nights, depending on the itinerary, on a two-week cruise. Please note that Black Tie Optional evenings will not be offered on any 7-night Caribbean cruises except for their Christmas and New Year’s holiday cruises. The itinerary in your preliminary document packet will inform you of the number of Black Tie Optional evenings to expect during your voyage.
♦ Elegant Casual: Slacks with a jacket over a sweater or shirt for men. Dress, skirt or pants with a sweater or blouse for women.
♦ Casual: Slacks and a sweater or shirt for men; sundress, skirt or slacks with a sweater or blouse for women.
SeaDream Yacht Club Dress Code
As they strive to provide a luxurious, yet casual, yachting experience, there is a resort casual dress code on all SeaDream cruises. Among examples of such cruise attire are comfortable footwear for shore-side visits and casually elegant resort wear for your evenings on board (such as open-collar shirts and slacks for men, and sun dresses for women).
Silversea Cruises Dress Code
On a Silversea cruise, the cruise attire ranges from casual to formal.
♦ Casual resort wear is appropriate for daytime aboard ship or ashore, and consists of standard sports outfits as worn at resorts. Shoes should be flat or low-heeled for deck activities.
Evening attire falls into three categories: casual, informal and formal.
♦ Casual: open neck shirts, slacks and sports outfits are appropriate.
♦ Informal: ladies usually wear dresses or trouser suits; gentlemen wear jackets (tie optional).
♦ Formal: For ladies this is an evening gown or cocktail dress; gentlemen wear tuxedos, dinner jackets or dark suits. On formal nights, guests dining in La Terrazza may wear casually elegant attire (dresses or trouser suits for ladies; jacket, tie optional for gentlemen).
Sailings of eight days or less typically feature two formal nights, while longer voyages usually have three or four formal nights. Details will be provided in the Port and Shore Excursion booklet in your final cruise documents.
